Most of the big brands have their fans but basically they all do the same thing and to mostly the same quality of image. Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc all make good cameras. Pick the one that feels best in your hand (with the lens you'll likely be using the most on it), you won't use a camera that you don't like to hold!

Lenses do have a big impact on the quality of the photo, if you're specializing in macro and from the work you've posted a good deal of it is macro :) , a macro lens is better than a telephoto etc, though a telephoto will still produce good images, they'll be a bit flatter and you'll need more light.
