The scene was set as Grace and I walked hand in hand down the road to the archway that marked the entrance of the local botanic park in Melbourne. We had quite a bit of gear to carry, but I wanted to create a romantic atmosphere with all the trimmings...my camera included :)

Unpacking our picnic basket and hamper we set out two freshly made Vietnamese rolls filled with to the brim with pork belly, coriander, garden salads and chilli. Accompanying our scrumptious mains was a delicate selection of fine cheeses, fresh strawberries, stuffed peppers, olives and chilled champagne.
The air was clear and the birds were singing. It couldn't of been a more perfect day.
The stage was set
As we lay on the picnic blanket we read our magazines and looked up to the sky as the cotton clouds floated above us. The experience felt like it was straight out of a romance novel and I'm not even ashamed to say it.

Spending the afternoon together was a real treat and something we both won't forget. We really can't wait to see where our next adventure takes us! Grace this one is for you xxx

I joined Steemit about 9 months ago. At that time I also joined Niume, Medium and IG ~ And found the creative/photographic 'tribe' that I connected with the most was IG.
About a month ago it was suggested to me that I look at Steemit. I did, and it's been like a whole new impulse of what I feel will be the most amazing journey.
I haven't looked into Steemit meetups, but if I do hear of any I'll certainly let you know Leigh. 😊

wow this is stunning pictures, I also read your introductory post. Welcome to steemit, I have been here also just over a month. I only take pictures with my cellphone so I am no expert in photography but this is best photo's I have seen so far. Is it a special technique that you use to fade out the background a bit and the real picture comes to life? I am re-steeming it and upvoted!
