After the 75th D-Day commemoration, the sight of a natural lone poppy has a genuinely emotional effect this evening as I wander around the garden here...
A poppy signifies many thanks to many people - a beautiful blooming colour as well as a reminder of the sacrifice of so many honourable souls.
