Best Of My Photo Collection : The River And The Monkey

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

My state Sikkim has become one of the popular Himalayan destination for people around the world in the last two decades due to its spectacular scenery. Besides the scenery, we have a few micro-climate zones which has such an amazing range of flora and fauna that if a plants botanical name consists of the word sikkimenses, then that plant is from here.

And there are quite a few of them in academia as a certain Dr. Joseph Hooker discovered the flora here when he visited in the year 1848, and named them to reflect its origin. And it is the same with the fauna too.

So whenever I travel around my state, I take a lot of photos and have built up a considerable collection over the years. I use just my smart phone camera and am not versed in the fine art of photography, but I have managed to take some shots which I have liked.

So I have decided to share a photo a day from my collection which I hope you shall like. Some of these photos may have been shared earlier, while some may not have been.

The Photo has been touched-up using GIMP, scaled in size and taken with my
mobile camera, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge

I came across this monkey sitting overlooking the Teesta river, the biggest in the eastern Himalayas, just after torrential rains in July last year.

Wow really a nice Photo!

Thanks!

The monkey seems to be meditative.
"Man, what I'm doing with my life? I'm already an adult but I can't get any female. The guys are laughing at me. Yesterday the alpha male trashed me around because I crossed paths with him. Damn.... This view is nice. At least I have this. A nice view". :)

Whew! You do have an imagination! :))
