Maybe you just need to move more slowly 8-).
You did get a good shot of a blue damselfly, after all! I would have cropped it a little bit less closely, but that is a matter of taste.

I had almost taken the photo of the fly, but it flew away whilst I was adjusting my focus haha.
Thanks for the feedback on the damselfly photo, I think that's a good idea :)
