Can M43 do Bokeh?

in #photography8 years ago

Hello Steemians!

I have been using Micro Fourth Thirds system since I got my Panasonic GH4, I thought that I would be doing more video than photography, it was the first camera that did 4k video internally; together with the body I ordered the Panasonic Leica Nocticron 42.5mm 1.2f, and oh boy is that lens something special.

I kept reading a lot of different photography sites and forums with always the same arguments that if you want Bokeh you need Full Frame, that unless you are not in a full frame system, you are not a pro or even on the same field.

Yes you can get more Bokeh from a full frame sensor with both lens of both systems being the same F-Stop so a Full Frame F1.8 gives you more DoF than a MFT F1.8; regardless of this, I would say that if you don't a really fast lens and you want more bokeh, just move you subject in a way that will create more distance from your background.

If you are on MFT system and you haven't gotten yourself a cheap F1.8 lens, and yes MFT can do Bokeh no problem!
