Beauty in Death
Still Looking So Dignified
I have a tiny rose bush near my front door. I walk right past it every time I go out or come home. It has never really been taken care of, but still usually manages a bloom or two at a time. In my mind, it seems to try so very hard. That little bush fights on year after year, but never gives up.
The dead bloom has been hanging on the stem throughout the fall. To me its still has a beauty, albeit faded.
Yes, a Faded Rose
In my mind, it has a beauty all its own.
There is a certain beauty in decay.
Thanks for stopping by!

It's so true! I am not sure when I decided that this was true, but, probably when I started taking pictures. The beauty is so much more subtle, sometimes stronger.
There is always beauty in the demise of things.
Thank you for the lovely post to remind to remember beauty in all forms, not just the obvious.
Upped and Steemed Tip!
In today's world anything that isn't new is so easily passed over or discarded. I find value in those castoffs. Im old but still have a little life left in me....especially on my keto plan ;)
Your pictures always show us beauty, as does your kind and caring personality. You are all that....and more!!!
Blush You are on a roll today!
Nice title
A girl takes a nap and you think she's died ... lol. Don't bury dear Rose yet. Loves those photos and dare I say, your words are poetic:):):)
Awww and WOW! That IS a great comment and compliment! Thanks, Pryde!!
:)
A conceptual contradiction crushed by a single real image.
Really nice shots.
Your comments always rock! Thanks!
So the rocks in my head are good for something after all?!
Cheers brother!

Beauty at any age!

I agree. Some plants can still be quite pleasant to look at even after they die. Great photos, as always.
Thanks for that. Upped!
Beauty in all the seasons of life. ^_^
Lovely photos.
Yes indeed. Upped.
One thing about a death of a flower is that it's seed may rise again to flower.
That is very true. Upped.
There is a certain beauty in decay. I'd say the same for that .gif of yours, but that's just silly.
Your posts are making me excited for spring. I can't wait for beautiful plants again.
LOL my gif is 100% silly!
Think Spring! Upped.
Beauty in death sound a little weird! Still, beauty is all over, if you know to see it. I never liked the new stuff.
Yes many things are beautiful, but overlooked. Upped.
Well said. Thanks!
I have a rose bush in my backyard. It just looks like a regular old bush with no flowers on it most of the time. However, about once a year for two weeks or a month a single rose will bloom strong and true.
I really love that rose and if I ever move out of this house I will remember that rose and what it stands for. Strength in the face of emptiness.
Yes! They are amazing like that. Well put. Too bad you couldnt take it with you... Upped.
Gorgeous roses, no matter what! :))
Aww thanks Maya!
Three very interesting rose pictures, I’ve gotta say I like the first picture the most. It’s amazes me that the dying roses still have there petals attached.
An interesting post. (Resteemed)
Thanks much! Upped!
Nature can captivate us in it's births and it's deaths... The process holds an amazing beauty to it; and to think we are all a part of that process :)
It is a beautiful thing this thing which we call life.
Absolutely :-)
In it's death, it holds the seeds of rebirth. Everything has it's season. We are all just merely passing through. Stop and smell the roses is good advice.
Very true. Life is so short when you think about it. We need to appreciate it more I think.
Beautiful photos and words
In the right state of mind we could find beauty in everything;)
Indeed you are right!
He is very beautiful in his natural beauty. All these three States have their own appeal and beauty. As in the man. There is beauty and splendour of youth. The beauty of adulthood, with its first wrinkles. And there is beauty in old age. Wisdom that comes from the inside and pours out in the eyes.
Oh so very true. Great comment! Upped.
I wish our Christmas Cactus had such beauty when it was not blooming. Sadly it is just ugly for a few years at a time till it decides to bloom. Then it blooms for a week or two and back to being just leaves.
That rose has really splendid hue of pale yellow-orange with a touch of pink to it.
I got a nice one this year from Menards! I really think they tend to get tired, or maybe need fresh soil?
They need to be fed. ;)
Oh like Miracle Grow?
They have something similar that is specifically for blooming cactus
A flower is a flowers, doesn’t matter is alive or not. The beauty will be always there! Thank you for brightening my day!
Thank you so much for the visit. Upped
