Back In Time

in #photography7 years ago

Today I'll show you a bit more of the Alberta history.

We took these photos on our visit at Fort Edmonton Park. You can learn about how it all starts here and see old buildings, vehicles and different kind of farm equipment from that time. All kind of shops, bank, theatre, saloon etc. If you're interested I can make another post about that.

But in today's post, I would like to present to you some characters from that era. I think they are volunteers, but I was surprised how good their performance is. Like real professional actors.

My English is still not good enough to describe the trades and positions these people present. So use your imagination and try to figure it out by yourself.

Wonderful 💕 @oldtimer

Alberta is really a beautiful country-side, I wouldn't mind visiting Alberta in the future. I love the serene environment and the people seems peaceful. Sir, what is their attitude generally towards visitors and tourists?

I love the chef picture, his mustach is very nice and the smile on face is quit unique.
The first picture looks like a family reunion if not that kids are not there, i presume they are really proudly Canadians like you rightly said.
Happy Weekend to you too @oldtimer

Beautiful story. These characters look so realistic as if they really came from past times.

thank you for sharing, it is a very nice and interesting past history ..

When I see the voluntary work that some do to preserve the traditions of the peoples, what remains is to applaud that noble and valued work. The photographs caused my imagination to fly. Best regards.

I really like the picture with a classic theme like this, showing how the lives of people in the ancient times very peaceful.

Old time is the best!

This reminds me of Fort Lunenburg in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The Fort still runs as if it did back when it was first constructed. Actors go through the daily motions to demonstrate what life at the time was like. The best part is watching the soldiers shoot off the cannon. It was so loud and sounded very real. I kept thinking though how hot these guys must be in those outfits. They looked so heavy.

Thanks a lot for your amazing work, I just included you in this post : My incoming upvotes from the best witnesses and whales ! , I hope you will like it. Thanks for being in steemit. ☺

You are right they look very authentic! Its like going back in time with high quality digital photography!

I love going to the printing press. I'm pretty sure that's what I would have done in another life.
