Today is the day for another vehicle photography challenge. It's initiated by @juliank and you should find something interesting in your albums and join.
For me is just a source of inspiration to find a topic for my post. I usually like to post more than just one photo.
When we were on vacation in Dubai I took a lot of photos. My today's topic is water vehicles.

The main role of Dubai back in history was to serve as a port, and despite the fact that aviation took a big chunk of the transportation business, ships and boats are still very important part of it.

Although it's modern city Dubai knows how to preserve and present its history at every step.

The city has many canals and the fastest way to cross them are those small boats.

Very practical and cheap if you just want to get on the other side but I'm not so sure about the tourist trips. We didn't try it.

Dubai is one of the finest cities in the modern world. Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is working on the goodwill of this country.
Raft is the pioneer among water vehicles. It is really appreciable that Dubai has retained its civilization.Dubai is the city of nobility. The beautiful lake in the city has added to its beauty.

Dubai is a very beautiful city. I was there on holiday, but didnt use the boats. Must be a nice experience. Nice shots!
nice captures..and these boats are some what different than the boats we have here..i think the shape and the design of the boat varies with the country..it is like the tradition..it is unique to them..thank you for sharing this beauty with us sir :)

A buddy of mine was just in Dubai recently. He commented and shared photos on the classic ports and ships of Dubai as well. Other than Venice, Italy, I’ve yet to see a city that preserves its shipping heritage so well.
Absolutely yes! I learnt so much from this.
This water vehicles as you call it look nice and I like the fact that they serve as a means of transportation from crossing through the canal and also crossing from one place to another.
Dubai is a place I've always wanted to go for vacation in and I've already made up my mind about that. I hope to see this wonderful scenery myself too and if possible, share my travelogue story with others too.

It's beautiful. This is such a special form of transport that is incomparable. The movement of water always gives a feeling of romance, the spirit of adventure. As I recall, you have your yacht. So you probably know the feeling when you push off from her pier. As though ahead of a world full of unknown wonders and freedom.
Where did you hear about my yacht? We have no sea here, haha. No yacht, my friend. For now.
Once you told me about your photo that it was taken off the boat. Well, I certainly thought you were its owner. Well my wishes for you to have your yacht in a short time. Not necessarily to sail to sea in it. The lake will also be a good option! ))))
Dubai has metamorphosed beyond a port city but into a tourist and mega business and commerce hub to a global audience.

When I was in the Maldives , we use to travel from one island to another by small boats, locally named as Dhoni. It was main transport vehicles for the public. Although tourists use to fly by seaplane to and from different resorts. Also, there was speedboat for longer distance.
I took some photographs then but can't find them now :(

How is Dubai? I always been interested in traveling to the West, but haven't had the chance to yet!
This is my 1st time seeing captures from Dubai.I never thought that they have canals like this.I was thinking about that country as a land full of deserts and buildings.But now I know that I am wrong.Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience with us here

Marketing!! It is nice to see what can be done when some people invest time and money. For example, my country has a lot of historical sites that date to Roman times and yet we have almost no tourism. Beautiful photography

Dubai is a beautiful tourists place to be and peak of every ones dream to visit. I had read a lot about its landmarks a few others interesting things and had finally put in on my travel list.
