Hi there!
I'm back. And today I want to talk about video editing. Not about the basics how to do it. No no no... I want to talk about the software you use. Also I want to ask the people that are planning to start learning to edit what is their choice.
This topic came to my mind because recently I jumped to Adobe Illustrator from Sony Vegas Pro. And it wasn't just a wish but a hard decision because Vegas really pissed me of! And i have a couple of arguments:
1. Every time when I wanted to make a new effect or a transition I needed to download a special extension which is time consuming. AND OF COURSE - some of them are not free.
2. Yes, Sony Vegas is easier to use especially if you are just starting learning. But it doesn't take long to learn every single thing in it. And then what...?
3. Premiere and After Effects are compatible. So if you want to improve you effects and so on - there is no problem to make it first in After Effects and then import to Premiere
4. The biggest problem (for some it may be not so big a deal) but the rendering method. Every time when I made a sequence and want to preview it I needed to select a part of the clip, press "SHIFT+B" and then wait for the clip to render to I could preview it without any lag. In Premiere it only takes to press "Space" and just watch. And if your PC is powerful so you can watch it in high quality.
So, I'm wandering if it's only me or someone else faced the same difficulties?
