I hate being photographed… actually scratch that. I HATE when the picture doesn’t come out to my liking which is 98% of the time. Sometimes you have a vision of what you want your photograph to look like, someone takes it for you, you look at it and its NOTHING like you wanted! What the actual fuck, man, you think to yourself. How do other people get amazing photos? This picture is one of the small 2% that I really love. I saw this brick road, and I told Spencer that I must absolutely have a picture of me walking up the small hill. It took a few tries but, sometimes it takes a few tries.
Some things that can make the process easier of getting better pictures taken of you is simple self confidence. Strut your stuff, and if the shot doesn’t come out the way you want it too, TRY again. Explain to the person taking your picture what angle you would like and what to change if you didn't like the first. If you're taking the picture yourself, be patient, change it up and try again. Don't be embarrassed about taking a picture, just get the goddamn shot.

I too have such a hard time with videos haha I’m just a good editor when it comes to making me look 100% comfortable in front of the camera!

That picture came out to MY liking. You are gorgeous. Apart from the advice you give, you can also take lots of pictures using burst mode, and then choosing the most flattering.

I think people forget that a photo isn't real. It's a representation of something through a lens.
Once you learn how it all works you can play with the rules, use posture and angles to get the type of look that you want.

Aah, I so get where you are coming from! I'm suuuuper awkward when someone else takes my picture, and 99% I won't use those. I'm so comfortable when I'm the one taking my own pictures, in my own time and can discard all the horrible ones without anyone seeing them.

I'm usually this guy behind camera.
And believe me, sometimes it's not easy for us too. And I guess that if you like someone's pictures, then it's a good idea to just trust him when he says that shot is a keeper. Because photog is looking at the picture without all the complexes, fears, uncertainties, overstated requirements of the model.
Exactly in the same way as all the viewers of this photo in the future :)
And I'm not trying to say that your voice doesn't count. Sure it does. But maybe it's worth to give photographer a chance to show to the world the beauty in you, that you may not be aware of, because you stucked in "same angle, same light, same expression".

Ehhh my boyfriend is great but he too understands that no one can take a picture 100% how you invisioned it lol
And when he says it’s good it probably isn’t because he thinks I’m beautiful no matter what! So I don’t trust his judgement 100% haha
I much prefer being photographed than taking pictures because they never turn out the way I want lol
