After the rain, this new visitor appeared! I don't know what it is but I will show you his grooming session.
At first he poses for a shot like a professional model.
And then he flushes hi feathers dramatically to get rid of the raindrops.
He then starts to check the Deodorant under under his arms.
And here he shows me ho good he looks from behind!
Finally he ends off with another dramatic feather shake before leaving the stage!
Nature is certainly always full of surprises and one has constantly to keep an eye upon it.
So many lessons and beauty is wrapped up in mother nature's arms.
It is my pleasure to show you some of her secrets, such as this beautiful bird.

Its a European or Common starling, an invasive species in South Africa.

I was going to say it looked like a starling, but someone beat me to it. We get them in our garden, but I don't seem to see as many these days.
Funny thing is I had a look in the Robertson bird book and the European Starlings in there are brown. But I presume they can be black as well. I now have 5 kinds of Starlings in my collection. Blessings!
