This was last night (26/7/2018), as I practiced for the eclipse that takes place tomorrow night (27/7/2018)!
As you can see, we currently have a lot of cloud cover over the Western Cape and although I got one or two clear shots last night, I am a tad worried that the eclipse might be covered by the moon tonight!
We shall just have to wait and see.

As I said, the clouds remain a concern, but you can see in the last two pictures that I managed to get two clear shots.
The name of the game is patience and to simply wait and watch. Not too nice in the cold of winter, but the clear shots made up for it. The sky is also much clearer here at the apple farms and I look forward to some amazing shots in the summer months! As usual, one will have to wait and see!

@mimismartypants So right, they reckon its going to be the longest solar eclipse of the century. Hopefully somewhere in its duration I will get some shots through the clouds. I am especially interested near the ending, as that's where the moon turns red! Blessings!

Very clear down there, we also had clouds scurrying across the sky last night, the waiting game begins...
Not clear and rained over here, but stopped now. Much cloud around and I expect it will be similar to last night! So be it!

The moon was biiiiiig already yesterday, hoping to catch some of the blood moon here today in the mountains, lets see if its possible!
