RE: A nightmare for guitarists

in #photography7 years ago

It had a similar body to a double cutaway Melody Maker, but the hardware was way different. It had two humbuckers like a Les Paul. Maybe it could have been some unusual version of a Melody Maker, but I think it was something else. It'd be a lot easier to say if it hadn't been over 20 years since I'd seen it. It almost seems like I dreamed it now.

By the way, I'm working on a studio recording of the first song I wrote for your contest. I'm fleshing it out with drums, bass, electric guitars, all that good stuff. I'm hoping to have it recorded, mixed, and mastered within a few days so I can post it to Steemit. After that I'll be recording the other song I did for the contest, with horns and everything.

Awesome Paul... btw the radio show just got its lets, first episode is going to air this coming Wednesday and our beloved judge @soundlegion is going to join me. But of course you are on the list, maybe when you finish that song you can come play it for us.

Regarding the guitar...

maybe one of these?

Very possibly. Dark finish, double cutaway, but it could have been a version of this. In any case, I think you just got closer to figuring it out than I ever have. I can't tell from the picture, does it have the same pickup switch as the Les Paul? My dad's did.

some of them did, yes.. there is a few odd models of l6 gibsons out there, so Im sure it would have been something of the sort.

Well I might actually have a shot of finding one like my dad's now, thanks to you. Now I have something to look for other than vague memories. Thanks brother!

And yes, I'd still love to come on the show. Especially with the new recording.
