London has always been a special place, I was not there but probably is was already special when was founded by the Romans, about 2000 years ago, who named it Londinium.
The past days London center was more special, there were all the festivities lights that made a special place more special.
So when I was walking on the Thames Southbank I saw the moon standing over the magnificent tower bridge I could not stop making photographs to this amazing combination of steel granite and stone.
Strange was what I found on the Tower Bridge lately.
"When needing to be raised for the passage of a vessel the bascules are only raised to an angle sufficient for the vessel to safely pass under the bridge, except in the case of a vessel with the Monarch on board in which case they are raised fully no matter the size of the vessel."
