I took this photo while on an unsuccessful fishing trip to nearby Westown Lake. I had never been there before and I hadn't gone fishing in ages, so I was a little rusty. The thing about fishing is patience is key, and at the time, I didn't have patience. I quickly gave up but my brother and his friend kept fishing. We left ultimately fish-less but we had a good time. We soon came to find out that the lake had been drained and refilled, so no fish were present. I took this picture towards the end of the trip because I had noticed the beauty of the area. After taking the picture, I realized just how blue the water was (probably from the refill), and I was satisfied with the trip, even though no one had caught any fish, because I had caught something better. I reeled in a photo that fills me with joy every time I look at it. That's the thing I figured out about photographs. They are meant to capture memories so you don't forget the good, and the bad. I hope you enjoy this picture. Please comment!
