Would a Rose by Any Other Color Look as Sweet?

Rose

I took this in beautiful full sunlight, and the subtle colors of this rose really stood out. I used a reversed manual focus 50mm lens stopped down to f/8 on a Nikon DX body. Click the image for larger.

Beautiful ! My Gypsy grandfather was known for the most amazing roses in his garden . They called him "RosenRudl" you just took me back in time

Wow that's an awesome nickname to earn. Thank you for sharing, and I'm glad I was able to take you back.

but)))

Thank you for post!

Amazingly captured. Beautiful!

Thank you isteemit :)

A great shot of a beautiful rose. Congratulations.

Personally, I like red roses more .)

this rose pic is really noteworthy. colours, detail and depth of field spot on.
the essence of life and femininity, for how I see it.

Thank you for your detailed praise :)

Wow . Great. Fantastic...bla bla bla...
I would like to add that:
This photo has a Flowered-Koolaid grade level "just another rose" with a viewing ease "by any other name". This puts the artistic level on par with Shakespeare and National Lampoon.

Beutiful, amazing photo

Thank you

Nice pic @pfunk. Check also a picture captured by me using just my S5, its my post during my first days with steemit https://steemit.com/segapodmaigo/@juvyjabian/segapod-maigo-lanao-del-norte

Funny thing is I used to live in a place called: Rosental. It's German translation means rose valley. We had many different types and colours of roses. So I can tell you roses look always great :)

And smell great!

Gorgeous

Ah you are far too kind! Thanks so much.

Amazing photo! Can I reverse mount a 18-55mm lens on a Nikon d3200 for macro shots?

Thanks! I believe zoom lenses might have different characteristics, but you can try. You'll have to manually hold open the aperture ring. Otherwise, f/1.8 50mm manual focus Nikon E-series lenses (what I used here) are really cheap and so are reversal rings. Just make sure you get a ring that is compatible with your camera.

Beautiful!!!!

Thank you :)
