The Sumaúma tree is the biggest in the Amazon.
I took this picture in the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Reserve in Brazil. It has a size of 11,000 km2 and gets flooded every year. The water level drops about 15m in the dry session. It is home of a large diversity of birds and mammals. Mamirauá hosts the Amazon river dolphins, tucuxi and the pink dolphin.
