Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
You might still remember the post dedicated to the beauty and majesty of the Wawel Castle in Krakow that I published here on my blog a couple of months ago. It was a compilation of some 20 shots of the castle that I took from a variety of spots and angles in summer earlier this year. However, none of the photos actually depicted the entire castle complex and it was not until recently when I finally (but kind of accidentally) found a spot from which you can take such a picture.
When taking a walk along the Wisla River, we usually walk on the side that is closer to the city center. Last week, nevertheless, we were exploring the area around the Zakrzowek Quarry and while returning back to the city, we decided to stay on the other side of the river. It was there, on the bend of the Poleski Boulevard, where we could enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the whole castle and where I snapped the above featured picture.
I know the photo doesn´t look as fancy as those bright colorful shots of the same architectural masterpiece that I took on a nice sunny day in summer but that´s what the weather is like here these days, unfortunately. In fact, you would probably end up having better photos taken in the night than during the day now since many of Krakow popular landmarks are lit up impressively and there is also very creative and sparkling Christmas decoration to be admired all over the city now in the Advent Season. I have been actually working on a special photo collection dedicated to this theme (Christmas lights in Krakow) and I will post it here on my blog tomorrow so stay tuned if you want to soak up some festive Christmas atmosphere ;)
