Next day morning I overslept on the train to the airport - my whole plan collapsed. Crazy things happend next - I had to book a parking slot on airport parking and drive to the airport with my car. I reached the airport as the last person on this flight, it was too late to send my big luggage on belt so I had to drag it to a different spot to send it... I run to the gate and it was really a matter of 10 minutes maybe and my plane would take off without me.
My dream could be over here... a lot of unnecessary stress and nerves.
As we started to fly I was trying to calm down, I closed my eyes and I felt asleep...
I woke up when we approach the Iceland - I saw the island in a far distance and I really couldn't believe what just happend few hours ago - it was a miracle I reached the place on time.
I started to think 'Am I dreaming now?' - Yes, my dream trip begun here...
As we fly over the Icelandic shores I saw some recognizable places as the biggest glacier Vatnajökull, its long ice tongues, the Glacier Lagoon and Black Beach next to it...
Long tails of glacial rivers, amazing mountains, more and more glaciers...
I couldn't believe that in a moment I will take my car and start to explore this majestic island - it was beautiful feeling! Incoming adventure and realization of my big dream...
I didn't know many great locations on the island before my trip - I haven't got much time to prepare a good plan - but one thing I knew for sure - I want to visit and see rainbow mountains - Landmannalaugar, situated in Icelandic Interior.
I had this opportunity to see this amazing place from the plane - to see it's colours, shapes, scale of the whole mountain range.
They were beautiful! They were huge!
My excitation reached the highest level since a long long time. I couldn't wait to start my trip and photographic exploration of the island.
If You will travel to Iceland - try to take a window seat and check on which side of th plane the island will be visible. It is worth it - amazing sights!
