Norway'24 #21 - Å - Lofoten's fishing village with the shortest name...

Hi Folks!

The same day we hiked up on Ryten mountain (see previous post) we went for a road trip to visit different places and spots around the Moskenesøya island.

First on our list was Å - small village situated at the very end of the archipelago.
The road leads to a final spot on a big Parking place which is a very good starting point to visit the harbor and the area around.

We can compare this place to Nusfjord village which I showed You before:(https://peakd.com/photofeed/@photovisions/norway24-16-storm-over-lofoten-nusfjord-village)
here as well we can find different types of fishing houses - robuer and bigger wooden buildings of different types but all related to fishing industry.
On the place we can find many nice caffee, souvenir shops, museums and galleries.

Small, very quiet and peaceful place.
It has got much more "warm" vibes then Nusfjord - maybe because of the surrounding or maybe because it is not so rough as Nusfjord.

Surrounding mountains in a distance are spectacular. Landscapes around seen from a position of the shore and a harbor are magical.
This time we didn't went any further this location but it is worth to go and see the cliffs at the end of the village, to the West also hiking some of the trails which starting and ending in the village.

I trully recommend this place to visit - one of the most iconic, typical, most northern village with it's "fishing" character and unique architecture.

Hope You enjoyed the shots and my short post :).

CHEERS!
