dark soil, cracking ice
frost surrenders
to dew
incubates seeds
softens resistance
bare trees
frozen roots
barren crystalline
warms, expands
coalesces
micelle earth
velvet green gestates
births daring pink
look up
in the pastel cumulus
the violet swathes
we cocoon the night
conceive the day
trust and love
we are always
just beginning
