Keeping Tempo with the Tress

Fist off, an apology for my absence in the blogosphere. I have been posting haiku on #Snaps. If you have not yet chosen a #HIVE microblog to contribute to, do so. Just click on the Snaps tab above and you will be directed not only to Snaps but the other three microblog platforms available to Hivelanders. You can even hit the All tab on the left hand side and follow all your friends no matter what platform they favour.
Some days for me are busier than others, and so I appreciate the ability to post something short like a haiku and an accompanying photo. But at the same time, invite other brevity aficionados to contribute and post their own pieces. It's fun and to take HIVE to the next level, it will require engagement. So come look for me. Unlike my blog. the posts only take a moment for you to read and comment upon. Hopefully like. Seriously, a good comment will earn a whole 2-3 cents; so what are you waiting for?
I noticed too that my status as a dolphin as been de-aquafied, and I am now a fluffy, friendly bumble bee. The next step up is a yellow jacket and then a killer bee. Geez, guys. I am not sure I want those monikers. Bumbles are my favorite and honeys are hard workers and good if you like stuff. But what is in a name ... does a bee not seem as sweet if it is named after predatory insects ... a whole lot, less sweet. LOL. Sorry for the Shakespeare massacre. Not sure, too many nature lovers were given input on this one whales turned killer bees. Oh well ... at least we aren't all wet anymore. Watch out because I float like a bumble but sting like a wasp, or kick like mule, depending on who you ask.
I have decided to record my blogs in my own voice. You know that you are listening. Thank you. I cannot stand the AI voices on offer. I want my blogs to me soothing and a nice escape from what might be a more stressed-filled, divisive world for you and well ... reading is hard, time consuming really. You can also choose to have me on on the background while you work against zen with multi-tasking. I will fit my voice balm --- see what I did there, only the readers will get that joke ... but I will fit in the soothe in between the tick-tick of your typing.
Along the lines of being more soothing ... boy does the world need soothing, this page is going to concentrate on the joy of life. No not that silly political joy-type thing that some astro-turfer came up with. But joy for me ... poetry, story-telling, philosophy, and a beautiful, low-stress lifestyle. Sometimes some homeschooling ideas. I hope that is up your virtual alley.
Maybe, you might put up your feet for a few minutes and enjoy the sound of my voice with a morning coffee or your evening libation. I hope you join me, but it is not necessary. As amazing as you are; you are amazing, it is not all about you. (I lied it is). But when I create something soothing, well I end up soothing myself too. Think of me as your friend on the never-ending way of enlightenment. I am not your guru; I don't want to be your guru, don't want to be your preacher or you imam. I want to be your friend and a comfortable place to hang when you need it. By creating that soft place to hang, I create it for myself too. We are always learning what we teach.

It has been a busy, busy time for me. Bunbling about as I do. My new car arrived and so, driving it about was essential. Also, Halloween is coming. I had worried that living in the hinterlands would mean, less festive fun. Not true. You got to drive for it but country-folk know how to put on a good show. More to come about that in future blogs. But for today, we will feature a festive poem I did 4-5 years back. They got eyes, they got limbs. and they got weight. You gotta watch out for those living-dead trees.
