Berlin from a different perspectiveBerlin aus einer anderen Perspektive
Well, even if you have not been to Berlin, you probably saw some of the typical sights, like "Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag building, Potsdamer Plaza and the list goes on” from photos, on TV, online or maybe even on Steemit, but let me show you the city from a different perspective today.Auch wer Berlin noch nicht besuchte, wird die typischen Sehenswürdigkeiten, wie das Brandenburger Tor, den Reichstag, den Potdamer Platz etc. auf Fotos, im TV und vielleicht ja sogar auf Steemit gesehen haben. Doch lass mich Dir die Stadt aus einer anderen Perspektive zeigen.

Ok, who you are? :)))) Are you my soulmate??? I look at this tittle and can't believe it, btw beautiful perspective :)))

That is also the only possible explanation I can come up with :D! Many thanks

:))))))

I guess that heavy agreement can be seen as a proof :)

Are you also a photographer?

Thanks for this. What I liked most about Berlin is how it has this USSR vibe going. There were all these posters on the subway about revolution and socialism. Hey by the way, do you need translations or professional editing for your posts or other material? I am a professional freelance translator for German to English.

Cheers for your thoughtful comment @pjcswart :). Yes, the city certainly has corners that still display that time or atleast remind one of it. You also have a big group of left-wing supporters, in a way similar to Hamburg, which is the main reason why it is questionable if the city is suitable for a G20 meeting. And no, I am not in the need of any translations :)

I actually lived in Hamburg for a year. Why do you think a city is not suitable for a G20 meeting if there are a lot of left-wing people?

That is not what I meant. More in comparison with other cities Hamburg is not the most suitable one. I currently live in Hamburg. The event costs the city around 400 million Euro, elsewhere the summon would have been way less expensive - a fraction of this figure. To assure safety swallows a big chunk of this amount, at the same time big areals of the city are being shut down, which is unpleasant. One of the major worries within the safety operations are leftwing radicals and escalating protests. Something Hamburg has a history of.

Interesting. I found that Hamburg has a lot of British influence. Maybe because of the Beetles who played there when they started out, or because it is a major port near London. How long have you been living there?

Schöne Aufnahmen. Wird Zeit das ich mal wieder meine Kamera raushole.

Danke! Wenn diese Bilder dieses Vorhaben verstärkt haben sollten, freut mich das besonders!

I think the best city in the world is Berlin , the beauty of this city can not explain in words you have to go their at least one time specially i think in summer season , Summer is by far the best season to visit Berlin. The city’s residents take full advantage of the decent weather to hit the streets, rivers and lakes and partake in endless events across the city.

Since the fall of its world-renowned Wall, Berlin has busied itself with becoming one of the most stimulating creative and cultural centres in Europe - one that truly offers something for everyone. Famous as a hub for hedonists and hipsters (parties here can go on for days rather than hours and the start-up scene is growing exponentially), it’s also a magnet for history buffs (the city was at the heart of much of the turbulent 20th century) and as a destination for families thanks to a wealth of green spaces such as the sprawling Tiergarten, the vast Grunewald forest in the southwest, and abundant outdoor playgrounds andattractions such as zoos and dedicated children’s museums. There’s also a lot on offer for business and well-heeled travellers too, from five-star luxury hotels, dapper boutiques and design stores and an increasing number of Michelin-starred dining spots. Little wonder visitors tend to return to Berlin again and again.

by the way great post by you dear the way you captured the snaps and explain the other face of this city is remarkable thanks for this great work

Thank you so much for this thoughtful respone. No question about it, this is the longest comment I have received. Just nominated your comment as comment of the day by @awesomianist. Cheers for the insight!

the post of you is so good and you deserve this praise and this type of responce from anyone , pleasure is all mine sir

I love Berlin because of how "raw" everything is. I'm from Sweden where most towns are very tidy and clean. I remember when I came to Berlin for the first time a couple of years ago, it felt so different. The atmosphere, the people, it felt more real if you get me. It felt like people utilized the city for what it was.

Take abandoned buildings for example, in Berlin they're seen as a nice place to chill at, maybe bring a couple of friends, drink some beers and eat some food. While in Sweden these buildings are viewed as something negative that should be demolished immediately.

I also like that Berlin promotes street art and graffiti, it felt like all apartment buildings had huge and beautiful murals on them. Something that is unheard of here in Sweden.

Ahh.. Memories! Can't wait to get back to Berlin again. Thanks for these pictures. :)

Cheers cryptr, what for a thoughtful comment. Glad it triggered memories and I am thankful for your comment. I do get you. I was fascinated by Stockholm when I visited a few years ago. The city just struck me with its beauty, being so open, buildings surrounded by water, all the bridges etc. Even more than from the buildings I was surprised by the neatness of the people. Very stylish, very modern, very neat - a bit like Mando Diao :).

I will enter your comment as comment of the day by @awesomianist.

Sind ein paar gute aussagekräftige Shots dabei!

Top Beitrag. Interessante Bilder. Gefällt mir!

guter post danke dir :)

Vielen Dank Martin!

I went to Berlin with my boyfriend and we stayed three days. I think not enough to explore the city but I loved it. It is unique and your photos are really original.
To visit the city I just used the tripadvisor app but, unfortunately they tell you to visit a lot of war places. Is there something to visit that is different from this war museums and monuments? I will be amazing to go back there and see something different.

Cheers! Glad you enjoyed your stay! Of course there is more to Berlin than it's war history: Nightlife for literally every taste, architecture, fancy places for foodists or shopping sprees, palaces and gardens .. I could stretch this list easily further :)

great work my dear

Thank you Mahael!

I absolutely LOVE that pic with the barbed wire fence!! Thanks for a great post :)

From these it is also one of my favorites. Thanks for pointing "your pick" out ;)

How true is the saying that there is only one Berlin in the world...

City where everyone can find something for him- or herself.

Yes, I can confirm this quote. In another response to this article I just mentioned a couple of facets the city offers. There is a high chance every single one finds something he or she enjoys in that city. https://steemit.com/photography/@puffin/berlin-from-a-different-perspective-berlin-aus-einer-anderen-perspektive-original-content-20-photos#@puffin/re-vikiveg-re-puffin-berlin-from-a-different-perspective-berlin-aus-einer-anderen-perspektive-original-content-20-photos-20170705t072234855z

I found the history of the division most amazing. It is sad and cruel indeed, but it it so unique. In general the idea of creating an inner-city border dividing people of the same nation is purely insane and "komisch", but that did happen in Berlin and it is indeed a "one of a kind place".

Tolle Bilder...toller Beitrag.❤

Beautiful perspective.. great work..

Thank you chingpherd. How did you come up with this name. The part "pherd" reminds me of the German word "pferd" which means horse. Have a great day.

Nice! Your pics gave me flashbacks on the time I spent in Berlin...(n)ostalgie.

Your word play its beautifully. Cheers for your comment and I am glad it triggered positive flashbacks :)

I don't know much about photography but I can tell you are good...

If it is true, that is very unfortunate for you, although it could also be the beginning of new great chances you now can go for. However, your post can be considered as Spam. You posted this hundreds of times in hundreds of posts in a very short time span and obviously you had no interest for any of the articles you commented.
