Strawberries are the fruits I NEVER buy out of season, which I can't say about all the fruits I like and buy. I try to buy seasonal, regional and organic but I assume I can do better. I have to inform myself even more.
Interesting and disturbing post!

I also try to buy organic as often as possible; though, I think it's way overpriced (here at least). Pretty much everything that is organic is 2.5-5.5 times more expensive than the non-organic stuff. Thanks for reading the post and for your comment @pusteblume!
Where do you live? Organic is more expensive here in Germany as well. But not this much. For me paying the price for organic food feels more like paying for the producers expense so they don't feel like deliver scrap. But if I have to decide plastic wrapped organic or unwrapped conventional, Indecide unwrapped.
I live in Bulgaria at the moment, and with regards to the expensive organic, I meant organic products from big brands that I normally find in the supermarkets. I would happily pay more if I know that I am buying from the producers directly; in fact, I do so sometimes when I have the chance to visit the so-called farmers markets :)
I totally understand you! Hello from Wuerzburg/Germany to beautiful Bulgaria!
Greetings from cloudy Sofia, my friend :) ✌️
