Hi, Dear Steemian Friends.
Today I want to share with you a few shots of the Tin Hau Temple in Causeway Bay on Hong Kong island. In all Hong Kong special administrative region, there is close to 100 Temples dedicated to Tin Hau (Mazu, Lin Mo or Lin Moniang) she is the Chinese Sea Goddess. Many people will confuse her and Kuan Yin but it is two different goddess. she uses to live in the mid 900 and believe to had died at 26 years old, since her very young age she had learned the teaching of the Buddha, and Confucius, and gained many abilities from her long meditations. In the legend, it is said that her mother was trying to get a baby boy and one night during a dream Kuan Yin appear to her and give her some kind of medicine resulting in the birth of Mazu. She is worship in all Chinese coastal area, Taiwan as well, she is very famous with the fisherman and always protect her believers at sea.
