Do you even like salad?!?

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

I know I do! But it really depends what the salad is made of. Straight up lettuce is kinda boring, and even lettuce+tomato is a bit lackluster. But even the most dull salad can be fixed up with the right dressing. The pic below is one of my favorite images that I ever shot, and I absolutely adore this beautiful colorful salad. I am actually NOT a professional photog, just a hobbyist. So I am super proud of this shot, and when I see it, I actually crave salad!

But I would like to know, what types of veggies do you find essential for a good salad? What type of dressing is best? The world needs to know!

I'm a 100% spinach with tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, sunflower seeds, and ranch dressing kind of guy!

Ooo that sounds lovely :)

Nice!
I just changed my diet like month ago to eating more salads and avoid a meat. So now I became a queen of salads ;-)
I'm mixing and trying everithing. Sometimes it very nice experiments

That looks so tasty!! For me I gotta have red onions! :) I like red wine vinegrette for my dressing. Even though I really haven't come across a dressing I didn't like. 😁😁

Sounds great! And ya, I have never met a bad dressing.

I like to eat the rabbit also when eating the rabbits food! LOL.

Very pretty salad.

Yes, I like salad and I feel like grabbing this one already 😁

Any type of veggie is usually fine with me (except celery....yuck). I like radishes, cucumbers, Kalamata olives, raw yellow squash, avocado, mandarin oranges, arugula, pears, pecans or walnuts, that kind of thing. I don't make lettuce-based salads anymore. I use chickpeas as the base.

As for dressing, I usually just use olive or hemp oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
