Just gotta say, that "Tree at Belle Fourche Reservoir" is one of the most sensational pictures of a tree in a landscape I've seen.

The streak of white light at the bottom horizontal third, sandwiching a smaller orange flame, all sandwiched by the blue of forever, with that iconic tree, like an austere statue, oblivious of the life catching fire beyond, it's exquisite!

I assume it's all filters and photoshop. Beauty like that surely doesn't really exist. :)

I do really love that one. No filter (with the 17mm so no filter possible really) and the colors are pushed a little in post but mostly it's the predawn long exposure that does it.
