At times our land looks like a butterfly sanctuary. The main reason: we don't use any chemicals whatsoever. Our methods of growing food and fiber rely 100% on natural processes, which we follow and try to assist. What we do is called Permaculture and I'll be writing more about it. For now please enjoy the pictures of one of the many results we achieve.

There are more flying around here, but some fold their wings when they land, others are just too fast to photograph. It still gives a nice image of one of nature's most beautiful creations.

All pictures in my articles are taken on our farm in Colombia.

Really nice!! Thanks for sharing all of the cool pics. I have noticed we have a lot of caterpillars around our land right now - I have been snapping pics of all of them. Maybe some of them turn into pretty butterflies like you shared. :)

Great! You still never know what you get. We had some amazingly big caterpillars in a tree next to our house and they turned out to become big moths. Still, all of nature has a function and a 'job' to do. Let's celebrate life and discover it all makes sense. Somehow...

Maybe we should capture some caterpillars and see what they turn into. What a great science experiment for the kids!
