While I was still living in my hometown I was often going out alone. And that felt really boring since that town was nothing short of boring itself. So every now and then I was taking my camera and a tripod a i was going around the weirdest spots there are. And the place really provided, I’ll tell you that.
On often occasions I was getting kicked out by security but this time it was a bit weird.
That’s the spot. It’s actually really close to where I lived. I’ve passed by a ton of times but never entered it.
I did the first shot and I started walking around.
I went to that door to try and see what’s inside. Trough the door I could fit my lens, but there was no light so it had to be a long long exposure.
This is what I got. You can even see the shade of the tripod in the light.
Second after taking this I moved to another thin I wanted to shoot.
Out of nowhere a security guard came to me.
He told me that I have to go right now. As I’ve heard this before I told him that I’m just taking pictures for my self and that will do no harm. Than he came closer to me and pointed at a camera above the door I was just peeking trough. He said “If they see that you are here, they are going to beat us both senseless and not even ask a question!” The man looked genuinely scared for himself so I believed him. I stayed just for one last quick shot and left as fast as I could, knowing that the camera there already saw me shooting photos trough the door.
Later I found out that the place was property of a local mobster and a meeting ground for him and other lowlifes.
cool photography ;) sounds scary too...
Really cool photos. Story sounded a bit odd at first, but makes sense at the end. Probably not a place you want to mess around with!
