Peace and love from the Finger Lakes!
Cayuga lake was cold on friday, 3°F, but I braved the cold to share the sights with you.

I believe I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. I will try to do at least 2 posts a week showing off the Finger Lakes region in NYS and will be using the tag FLX.

This photo is overlooking Watkins Glen at the base of Seneca Lake. Seneca Lake is he deepest of the Finger Lakes, with a depth of over 600 feet deep. Watkins Glen is the home of the Schuyler County seat and has a flourishing tourism industry. We have lots of waterfalls, wineries and gorgeous breath taking views I plan on sharing with you

We even named a town around the fact we have waterfalls. I will have more waterfall posts soon as we have over 20 of them in my area.

Let me know in the comments what else you might like to see or know of my area.

Schuyler is beautiful! Can't wait to see more scenes of the county! You should get a shot from the top of Oak Hill. <3

Wow, haven't tried snow since I'm in the Philippines.. Hoping to visit places which experiencing snow someday..

I like to play in the snow sometimes when it is warmer but currently its around -7°C so we are staying warm by our woodstove. The key to enjoying the snow is layers of clothing to keep warm and the wind chill off. Watching the snow fall on a winter afternoon can be very peaceful, but watching the snow come at an automobile while driving reminds me of light speed from Star Wars the movie.

I don't know if I can survive the snow hehehe :)

Such a beautiful area! Nice pix!

Thank you for sharing, my friend. I am huge on sharing adventures and landscape photography to all. Even though the world has shrunken because of our ease of travel, there are many places others will never get to see or even think about in their lives. Another reason for sharing is if someone does see your photos and travels to or near the location of the photo, they can reference the natural and manmade changes. This gives us an understanding of the history of the area. Being from Michigan myself, I know if you dress intelligently, no type of weather is a hindrance.
