It had been raining for 2 or 3 hours before I approached the glacier so everything is pretty much wet. When you get closer to a glacier, you realize it's more blue rather than simple white. Some thin glacial rivers descending from the icefiled can also be seen.

Yes. Alaska is anyway cold in September (most hotels and facilities close mid-September), but rain makes it muuuuuuch colder.
