This morning, I got a call from Leger des Heils. They wanted to check if I was still working from Enschede since my website’s been a bit dodgy lately (more on that later). For those who don’t know, Leger des Heils is a non-profit organization that helps people in need. Recently, they launched something pretty cool: ReShare Stores across the Netherlands. It’s a place where you can donate your 'old' clothes, which they then sell to raise funds for their amazing work. Win-win, right?
Anyway, they asked if I could help them out at a soft price. And since their store is literally two minutes from my place, I thought, why not? It’s a great initiative, and the job only takes about an hour. I love that I can support something meaningful like this with what I do.
Sometimes, it’s not about the money. It’s about creating something that makes a difference; even in the smallest way. Plus, if you are around from the Netherlands and haven’t checked out a ReShare Store yet, you definitely should. They’re doing incredible work, and who knows? You might just walk away with a new favorite piece of clothing while supporting a great cause!
people might now it as The Salvation Army 😜
Haha, toch wel? Wist het niet zeker! Thanks
