even though the winds are blowing and the sands are shifting, we fail to notice and when it does buffet us, we are unprepared and surprised
While it is possible that some/a lot of people are unprepared and surprised, it also seems that a lot of people are aware and see it coming but seem to hope that it will go away if they ignore it hard enough (whatever "it" is at the time).
These ones seem to have come out all right, did it take you long to get good ones? Hope you didn't freeze too much :)
