Tree Tuesday: Tortured Tree!!
While walking on the rocks next to the ocean at Jongensfontein, Western Cape Province, South Africa, during my recent vacation, I saw this tree growing on the rocks. It seems that this tree is quite old, if you look at the shape and the bark, but it is quite small, almost like a natural bonsai!! (Just bigger). It looks as if this tree really struggles to survive in this harsh environment.
Look at the interesting colors of the rocks and the bits of green in the cracks, this tree and its setting was really amazing to me.
Just look at the amazing shape of the tree in the photo below!! Most of the branches are bare, but the tree is still surviving!!
Just look at the texture of the bark from close up.
This tree is a real fighting survivor!!
These photos were taken by me using my iPhone.
I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I did.
Can you imagine how strong that trees roots must be?
To break through the rock so that the tree can grow.
Amazing!
Yes it must be strong, that tree won't fall over.
In limpopo we have a tree called the strangler fig, that commonly grows in koppies. Their roots are so strong that they can actually crack the underground rocks. And when it can not break through, it will sometimes encase the rocks
wow. Beautiful
Thank you very much for the nice comment

It's amazing how mother nature fights it's way through anything! Put all the concrete or other stuff on the way, a tree always finds another way to grow and amaze us! Great, inspiring piece, i thank you for that :)
