Hello everyone! Today I bring to you these scrumptious pancakes. They look like they are unhealthy, but these are the healthiest pancakes you will ever make. 100% whole wheat, no added sugars, and COLORFUL! All of the sweetness came from the blueberries. If you like more sweetness, add some honey or a little bit of syrup. Shot with the iPhone 7.
Ingredients:
To make 4 cups of batter:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 4.5 tsp of baking powder
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.5 cup apple sauce (or 2 eggs)
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups and 1 tbsp almond milk
Toppings:
- frozen bluberries
- Maqui powder mixed with soy yogurt
- Blue spirulina mixed with soy yogurt
- Almond butter
Maqui powder is super high in antioxidants which stabilize free radicals that can cause cancer. Spirulina has many health benefits as well and is so versatile. You can put it in smoothies, yogurt, or in some cream cheese to put on your begals or toast in the morning.
