This lovely howler monkey seems to be hanging out on his own. They usually hang out in family groups but this guy seems to be a loner for today at least.
He has such amazing expression in his eyes. At dawn and dusk howler monkeys get into their loud calling sessions which is where they get their names.
They sit around relaxing high in the tree tops and call out loudly. In the distance more reply. Itโs a lovely sunset and sunrise ritual.
He has such a dreamy look in his eyes!

He really does have a dreamy look in his eye. Also looks like a shiny healthy fella. Their calling is so distinct. I recall hearing their calls for the first few times. It was unnerving to hear and not know what making the sound! But, once we knew what it was it became a nice aspect to pur time near the ocean in the jungle!! โคโ๐
