Budapest is one of the most Beautiful cities in Europe, and also one of the most photographed.
It seems these days that every second European travel magazine has a photograph of the Hungarian Parliament Building or the spectacular Chain Bridge and Buda Castle on the front cover.
The good news for occasional tourists, though, is that there are so many spectacular photo opportunities that you can get some great shot practically anywhere you point your camera. The shots in this post were all taken on the same evening with a handheld compact camera as I walked back to our hotel after dinner; no special camera gear involved, and no real effort required.
If you ever find yourself in Budapest, I highly recommend keeping your camera in your pocket at all times; you just never know when you’re going to come across your next spectacular photo opportunity.
