As my Gramma would say "you'll get blown to bits if you go out there!" Well I did go out there and she was right!
On Southern Vancouver Island in the late winter, early spring we can get some pretty nasty, windy, rainy weather. For us real storms only happen a few times a year and that about it.
Once the wind picked up and there wasn't any chance to go diving. I headed down to a local spot Clover Point and wanted to get some images of the crashing waves. It was a great scene, the noise of the ocean crashing into the shore was almost defining. The wind was gusting to 90 km/h. Just perfect to get some images.
With all the wind and spray from the ocean I was soaked by the end of it. Even with a element resistant camera and a bag over it my lens was still wet as well. Do yourself a favour and if you shoot in these conditions bring the right camera protective gear as well has human protective gear.
What a great day! Thanks for reading.
Scott

Wow these pictures are amazing!!
fantastic
I think I can tell you from experience that you are right. I had a camera that worked underwater. but guess. I was confident ... making a video when swimming without wearing a strap ... I slip out of my hands ... you can imagine how much I suffered since I was in a place with extreme depth. I love your photos. Keep it up. I share your passion for the photos. Although I no longer have a camera and I'm saving for one ... while I'm making my phone work miracles: D
