Staying cool in the Korean summer heat, visiting a little aquarium with loads of info about our local rivers and ecosystems.

Ahoy, folks of Hive!

It’s been a while. With Korea's crazy summer heat, we've been trying to stay indoors as much as possible. With two little ones who constantly need to be entertained, we decided to visit a small local museum that has loads of information about the kinds of fish and birds you can find in the rivers around our area. This was a fun little trip we took to keep the kiddos entertained.

The entrance greats us with a very cool water feature that not only looks cool but also sounds amazing.

The wall. I believe all of the pieces used in this were created by kids, so cool to be featured here.

They have a massive viewing area where you can sit down and just look at these fish, when you get closer though they swarm the window (guess they think it is feeding time) and then it becomes quite difficult to get a clear shot of them. The kids were not amused by this at all and just walked by... weird.

Cicadas. The loudest sound in summer. These little buggers are everywhere and they make their special MeMe sound all day long. I live on the 10th floor of our apartment and these guys sometimes fly up to our windows and sits against our window screens, sun up, alarm up, what a way to wake up!

This is a very cozy and quiet little library, can't sit and read though, kids need to go and run!

The coolest part for the kids were the little kids area they set up with a few activities for the young ones, they absolutely loved this.

Overall, it was an enjoyable and entertaining day indoors while trying to stay cool from the summer heat. Until next time, thanks for reading!

Sort:

the younger they get involved the better , my school used to take us each month to a different museum back in 1974 -1979 ,but that was in Amsterdam not ecevery city has that manny museums ;) or preserved history to visit .

I love museums and think schools should do it more often, it might be boring for some, but I feel you always learn something new.

Educational and interesting place to visit with children having a play area to run around in when their attention had absorbed enough!

Great to see and hear you are all well, except the heat....

Yeah, the running part came quite quickly. They only go ooh and aah at a fish for so long. =P

Hope you are doing well, too!

Just taking them one does not realize how much they absorb. Letting off 'steam' somewhere is what they need, healthy happy looking lads!

We managing one day at a time, have no option....

Take it easy, stay safe, that is the best way to carry on in SA. Take care =)

Hopefully slowly turning the corner, patience is the name of the game here.
