RE: Feathers, Feathers, Everywhere - Hope Floats!

in #photography7 years ago

Oh, I'm so glad you like them! I thought you might have a feather poem laying around. Get it...feathers laying around...lol...please post your poem, I'd love to read it. As for me being a photographer, well, if by by photographer you mean I take thousand of pictures, then yes, I guess I might be. LOL...I really only started taking pictures to overcome PTSD. It worked for me. heart.gif

oohh art is so theraputic - it's awesome! I wrote poems to work through mental health issues too <3 my poem is not about feathers lol it's more about a bird being hope.. and rather melodramatic lol but I'll share it never the less. hope it's not too small to see.. this is from my IG. didn't wanna type it all lol plus it looks cooler with the picture LOL

That is really powerful, @amariespeaks. I love it, it's tremendously moving. I'm guessing you wrote that pre-Steemit?

Ya know, PTSD is just a normal reaction to abnormal events. I think at this point, most of the human race has some form of PTSD. That's why I love Steemit so much, the people here are really incredible, and I suspect this is how it is supposed to be in life. (With those few minor exceptions. lol)

yeah - people sometimes don't understand PTSD and stigmatize it but you're totally right 'normal reaction to abnormal events.' The people here really do help out ! I've never met so many kind people in real life LOL jk most people are kind in their own way I'm sure I just get to see it more bluntly on Steemit.

And thank you :) I wrote this maybe back in August.. just during a slumpy time in my mood cycle LOL but I liked it even after I started to feel good again so I kept it. I like the ending.. it's like no matter how bad it gets or how close to the end I feel like I am that hope to live more and go on will always appear to save me.
