Monday morning I got the bike out and checked it over to make sure all was ok and pumped the tyres up. I made myself some sandwiches and packed my rucksack not knowing how far or where I was going.
In the end I decided to go to Weston-Super-Mare as I have not been there on the bike before.
This was my first 5 minutes rest stop only 5 miles into my ride but just wanted to take in the view along the Huntspill River.
My second stop was around 10 miles into my ride where I stopped off for some lunch. This is the River Brue as it enters the sea.
After leaving Burnham-on-Sea I cycled through Berrow and continued on crossing the River Axe and following the cycle path to Uphill and onto Weston-Super-Mare beach.

Here we have a little old harbour at the northern part of the beach.
This is the furthest point that I cycled to Brinbeck Pier. Brinbeck Pier is on old Victorian Pier that is in desperate need of repair and hopefully in the next 2-3 years it’s going to be restored back to its old glory.
The river Brue on my way back home with the tide out and the boats sat on the mud.
After 43 miles in the saddle it was nice to get home, take a shower and put my feet up.
