A Giant Rubber Duck Visited Toronto on Canada Day Weekend

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

A special guest visited Toronto during the Canada Day weekend. A six-storey tall rubber duck. This visitor is famous around the world and has a very busy schedule of visiting various festivals and events.

My son loves ducks, so we just had to brave the large crowds that were also clamouring to see the (not really) feathered friend that had floated into Toronto's waterfront.

I am not a photographer at all, but I did manage to take a few pictures of the huge beast.

A smaller, yet still large duck. There was a line-up to take a picture with this guy!

Not duck related, but Toronto's CN Tower on a beautiful day!

This duck has a better life than most of us, @sgtechservices! The places I've seen this duck pop up over the last years...

Reminds me of the gnome who travels the world, in the wonderful French movie Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain:

I've never had the privilege of seeing this Giant Duck with my own two eyes, but a man can dream!
