It depends on how the building looks in the wider angle compared with the other (probably old and traditional) buildings. Sometimes such a composition makes sense. And of course the job the architect did inside. @shieha did you have the opportunity to take shots from the interior?

Nice capture, with the monk walking through! That seems like an odd architectural style for a monastery. Lots of perpendicular planes and hard faces.
