Hey friends,
Yesterday, with my Salsa School, we started our summer outdoor dance animations. It is a weekly event. Every Friday, during 3 hours from 7pm to 10pm, we put music and invite our whole city to come and dance with us. As photographer, salsa is a challenging exercise. Especially because of the management of light. I made the choice last night of black and white because I wanted absolutely to keep contrast above all. For several years now, I have turned to the fixed focal lens by telling me that my legs can serve me for zooming. I always take with my 5D mark IV my 3 fetish lens:
- 135mm F2 L canon, my darling
- 50mm F1.4 canon, the indispensable
- 24mm F1.4 ART Sigma (For info, my practice of the photo does not generate enough income for me to pleasure with a F1.4L canon, but sigma does rather well the job)
The pictures you see are optimized for a web format and not really suitable for printing. This is the big difference between this type of reportage and wedding photography.
Very nice
Cool shots!!
Great photos!
Thanks my friend
Awesome photos. I like black and white photos but in yours i also felt the energy
I use dancers energy !!! hihihihi
Great photos and unique post, thank you.
Some beauties in there! Great stuff, love what you're saying about legs being a better zoom. I feel like I rely on my zoom too much sometimes. Maybe a fixed lens would help with that.
thank you,
In photography, I find that some constraints force us to develop new skills.
Otherwise, the fixed lens are always better than zoom.
Definitely going to look into getting a fixed lens soon!
