Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, Sydney NSW.

in #photography7 years ago

took these photos at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan Sydney. The garden is situated in the south west of Sydney and is spread out over 1040 acres or 416 hectares. They have an extensive collection of seeds of some 10,400 Australian species stored in a seed vault.

This lizard is an Australian Eastern Water Skink and they are commonly found around east coast waterways. They can grow up to 30cm or 12 inches in length and they are extremely fast little lizards.

What a cheeky little fellow he is, lol. :o)

He wasn't that scared, he stuck around for a while so I could take his photo, cheers mate.

It's true about these lizards being everywhere down by the water, they scatter in all direction as you walk by the river. I went for a walk yesterday and must of seen at least 20 of them, thanks silverbug.

Yeah there was a lot of them around this particular garden as well, cheers.

That is a nice lizard.

He is isn't he, cheers.

Ouff stunning shots🙏🏼

I found lizards of that size usually are very quick to disappear out of sight, so good job capturing them in such a good way 😉

Beautiful overall!
