I made this face from two nest side by side just for fun after a full day of detecting. I called him Mulga Man
When out gold detecting in the Western Australian outback I came across These distinctive nests of Mulga ants which there are almost 700 species, mainly in Australia, Asia and Africa, These nests are up to half a meter or almost 2 feet in diameter, and as high as 15 centimeters or 6 inches above the ground.
Australian Mulga ants use Acacia mulga leaves to build decorative rings as a levee around the entrance to their nest. This is thought to be an adaptation to prevent surface water runoff from flooding or eroding the nests during the rare heavy rainfalls. Thanks for visiting my post, I appreciate you stopping by.

Crazy mate love it
Awesome thanks
Thanks for the visit. Cheers
Haha this is awesome! Very creative, the WA outback is often so barren and raw, but there is beauty found even in the most remote places. +1
Thanks for that, Yes the deserts have their own unique beauty. Cheers
