Photography is what I feel captures the treasured moments in ones life but I also find that just like writing it is also an art as the beauty and meaning of a photograph can be expressed and shared in many ways but without words.
Some of you who know me may have already caught on that I like photography but haven't shared much of it here on Steemit I have started doing this and the feedback as been very positive so lets continue doing that from now on 13/03/2018 I will try and share some from time to time.

Here is a picture of the Portuguese Padrao dos descobrimentos taken from afar at first, this was because I had already seen the statue of Padrao dos descobrimentos before years ago but since I was so busy at the Steemfest 2 event I firstly didn't go make the walk for a closer snap, but I like how this picture gives the scale of how huge this thing really is just look at the size of people and even the stand compared to the Padrao dos descobrimentos how amazing.

This monument, which has the shape of a caravel with the shield of Portugal on the sides, is 52 meters high, built in 1960 on the banks of the Tagus River in Lisbon, and celebrates the sailors, royal patrons and all those who participated in the development of the Age of Discovery. It was built to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the death of Henry the Navigator ... It is certainly a work or monument of great magnitude. Greetings @simonjay.
