Bukit Barisan are mountains stretching along Sumatra island, starting in Aceh up to Lampung. This photo is one point of bukit barisan which located in Aceh Besar.
From one of the tops of the hill, we can see how beautiful these hills are, and underneath the river flows.
But unfortunately this once nice river is now starting to break down slowly. this is due to the massive exploitation of sand to suffice development needs.
sand is very much needed for the construction of housing, offices and other buildings.
close to the location, I also saw the place where the sand mining, here the sand is transported by car, before it will be sent for construction purposes.
