I had been sitting on the beach for a while now. I took pictures of my shoes with the little boat in the background. I knew I had to walk a few meters, maybe a hundred, to get the best use of the boat for my picture. Being a photographer these things itch: "What if... That light would be 5 centimeters to the right? That chair would be out of sight? What if... That person over there would stand in front of that blue wall that matches his shirt?"
I am always looking for pictures or fantasize about better shots than the ones I'm making.
I knew if I walked that 100 meters I would have the little boat in perfect alignment with the hills in the background.
And so I enjoyed my rest on the beach, all the while in my head busy creating the next picture. Just an example of how my mind is always thinking: image.

This is a very somber picture but beautiful still. But what I liked the most was your way of thinking. It's something I can relate to.
Often I find myself fantasizing about how one picture could have turned out better or a drawing or a poem. It's all about imagination and dedication. I fully understand you ;) Thank you for sharing.
Hey @hayleeng, I do like to take 'somber' pictures indeed! And yes, as artists we have to use our imaginations a lot to get better, so we often fantasize about better or other versions... ;-)
good job @soyrosa
Very nice shot
I liked your way of thinking.

Great symmetry and the layers are awesome. I wanna be on that boat.
Oh, yes, I want that too @jfolkmann! :-) At a later moment a man went in this water on a canoe, I was jealous :-)
The photo came out great. Nice composition.
There's Nessie ;-)
Always love to go to the beach but dont have time to do so..
Sometimes you gotta make time and trust it somehow gives back in the end!
Incredible photo!

Very dramatic effect of the dark clouds! The still water is s camouflage. The monster will
appear any minute now! Wait!
Another Scotland gem!
